Please read the following letter about our update Mask mandate.

Our operations team has identified alternative solutions to replicate the MDE snack program, but until then we ask that parents and families do not pack any snack for their scholar(s). We expect to be serving snacks again on Monday, March 21, 2022. However, we have yet to determine the number of days we are able to serve snacks.

Thank you all for your patience as we try to figure out the best solutions regarding NMA's transportation.

NMA must abide by Minnesota state statute in terms of our meal programs. Unfortunately, based on the hours of operations of our school, NMA no longer meets the specifications within Minnesota statute to serve snacks at the end of the day. As a result, NMA will be ending our snack program effective Friday, February 18, 2022. Please note this does not impact our breakfast, lunch, and after school meal programs.

I will be reviewing this with our Executive Director and the Board of Directors to determine how we can utilize general funds to support our snack programs. My hope is that we find a solution sooner than later so that we do not let our scholars go hungry by the end of the school day. As soon as we find a solution to this matter, an announcement will be sent out to families and the school community.

Thank you for your patience as the school leaders investigated the safety breach at school on Friday. We have concluded that it is safe to return back to school, starting tomorrow, Tuesday February 8.
